My recent current season Aje inspired dress that included using two commercial patterns (with a bit of sleeve adjusting to make them wider) to get this beautiful pink slim fitted dress. Aje dress remake for Melbourne Cup race day with the girls. I tried this original Aje dress on and fell in love. I wanted to make something similar so tried and tested a few commercial patterns to get this look. My 5 layer tulle skirt made from a silk base, 3 layers of tulle and an embroidered tulle overlay. This was a refashion from my very old wedding dress where I separated the top and bottom parts of the dress and turned the long skirt into a shorter version. Super happy with the outcome of this refashioned skirt. This project was created by cutting up my 2013 wedding dress to remake into a circle skirt. Despite being divorced from that partner for over 10 years, I kept the wedding dress because the creation of it was something that I did together with my mum. I always wanted to separate the top and bottom half and remake it into something pretty, as I know how much the fabric alone cost. 👗 My latest Collette Macaron Pinapple dress made from cotton sateen. 🍍🩷 My pineapple 🍍 dress made from the Collette Macaron dress pattern. When I saw this fabric at @wearethefabricstore I knew I wanted a bright summer dress. This pattern is also one of my favourite dresses for summer and so quick and easy to stitch up.
