Animal Welfare League is an incredible charity that supports rehabilitating and rehoming companion animals. I personally love this charity because they work with other charities, such as RSPCA to ensure that any animal that can be rehomed are, which reduces euthanasia across the nation. They also work with communities and other organisations to create positive change for companion animals, such as cats and dogs.

This Doggy Bag Keyring Holder project was to create something useful for dogs that could be donated to the Op Shop or gift to people who were taking home a pet. The donation and Op Shops are supported by dedicated volunteers, all profits from our shops go back to supporting both AWLQ’s mission and a circular economy.

Sewing Project – Doggy Bag Keyring Holder

These doggy bag holders are the perfect addition when taking your dog for a walk. They are small, compact and easy to use. Simply attach them to your pets lead, which means you will never forget leaving the house without them! You could also create a version (similar to the below) with a clear facing to ensure you can see when you are close to running out.

Sewing Pattern

You can download the free Lipstick or Doggy Bag holder sewing pattern to complete this project. You will need very minimal fabric for this project so you could even use some leftover material. You will also need a pack of keyring holders from the craft supply shop, such as Spotlight or Kmart.

You can donate to the Animal Welfare League or even call up your local shelter to see if they would benefit from some small gift items, such as these Doggy Bag Holders. If you live in a winter climate or want to donate during the colder months, pairing these with some fleecy dog jumpers are also are great idea!
