Colette Macaron Dress

You can probably assume from all the dresses I’ve made from this sewing pattern that it’s one of my absolute favourites. I’ve had this beautiful cotton sateen fabric sitting in my stash for quite some time and couldn’t decide what to do with it. Maybe because it’s so bright and colourful, creating it as a solid dress might have been too much. So splitting it up using the Colette Macaron using the white top was the perfect combination.

Pattern Information

Description: Macaron is a fun-to-sew, flattering, and curvy dress. It includes a bodice fitted with darts, along with a contrasting top yoke, sleeves, and a narrow midriff band.
Pattern: Colette Macaron Pattern
Fabric: Cotton Sateen from Spotlight

What did you like about this pattern

This is the first time taking photos in my new house that I purchased in June. Now that it’s coming into summer I’ve been able to spend a lot more time outside renovating the backyard, working on getting fit and seeing more friends. That gave me a bit of a kick up the bum to create something fun and pretty that I can wear out for lunch or dinner.

I love this pattern I have made it so many times now and every time I make it I end up falling in love with the dress. It’s such an easy pattern to create and you can mix and max the fabric types to give it a unique style.
