This is one of the first dresses that I even made, with the help of my mum back when I was 18. I have always had a real desire to create and design my own clothes, which likely stemmed from growing up with my mum an avid seamstress.

What do you like about this pattern?

I still remember when I was 18 wearing this dress out and getting so many compliments from friends or strangers because of the colour and style. That was likely to main reason why I kept learning as I got into my 20’s and started on my own sewing journey.

It’s also amazing to think I’ve kept this piece of clothing since I was 18 and still absolutely love it because it’s made so well and seemingly ageless. I can’t say I have worn this dress since I was in my early 20’s but I keep hold of it out of keepsake and because it’s such a pretty little dress.
